A psychologist found it useful

As a psychologist who does forensic assessment work, I have often found myself in need of a way to measure clients' ability to negotiate moral or ethical dilemmas. Some people land in difficult situations because they made a mistake, whereas others are more chronically impaired in their judgment abilities. Standard clinical instruments like the MMPI-2 don't fully get at this question. The SRM-SF turned out to be a really useful instrument for this purpose. I was recently able to demonstrate that a client's moral development was significantly below the expected level for his age, which aided in making appropriate recommendations. I did plenty of research on this before buying Moral Maturity and believe me, buying this book is required for using this measure, and using this measure is the most reasonable way to get at this question. I only hope more research is done with the measure in the coming years to add to its established reliability and validity in adult forensic contexts.
