A true love story

It would make a beautiful family movie, one where you will smile through your tears at the ending. The story will draw you in so you actually feel like one of the characters. It will leave you with a warm, loving feeling, and perhaps a longing that your family and friends could be more like this one.

Love Is In The Air

Sometimes it takes an unhappy event to make families and friends look at things in a different light. This is exactly what happens when Russell Gunn passes away and Darby is responsible for carrying out her best friends last wishes.

Although things did not go as Russell had wanted due to Bella Gunns involvement (his step mother) we see that even thru errors in judgement things can turn out for the better.

Darby and Ben become more then just the childhood friends they were when he returns for his brothers funeral and the wonderful Lane sisters who have helped to raise the Gunn children become more involved in helping to free a family member who has been trapped for way to long. (Way to go Harriet, Lydia and Vivian)

Of course along the way we find secrets and love when we might least expect it and once again Ms Michaels shows us it is never to late to love and forgive. This story is wonderful and the characters are so real we just feel like we know them personally.

As an acupuncturist and Chinese herbalist, I have successfully treated numerous people for mental/emotional concerns over the past 17 years. This very readable book raises the public's awareness of the wonderful possibilities Chinese medicine holds for mental/emotional healing.

Do I have patients and friends for whom pharmaceuticals work to help them cope with life better? Yes, and they are happy to take these medications for as long as they need. Are there others for whom pharmaceuticals have not worked and have even caused greater distress? Absolutely. For these people, there is hope in other arenas, and one of the aims of this book is raise awareness about that. What Chinese medicine can do is still so unknown to most people in our country, and I am deeply grateful for this book providing such useful and interesting information.

I really appreciated the author sharing his experiences, both from his life and from his practice. As a trained social worker, he has worked in the arena of mental/emotional issues for most of his life. He talks not only about fixing problems but also about balance, which is the foundation of Chinese medicine and lifestyle. If you are exploring options for treating mental/emotional problems, or are just curious about Chinese medicine, definitely check out this book.

Nathan Goodyear, MD received his bachelor of arts from Louisiana Tech University in Ruston, LA and his doctor of medicine from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Centre.

Dr. Goodyear is a board-certified gynecologist, and fellowship-trained Metabolic specialist. He served as chief resident in Obstetrics/Gynecology at the University of Tennessee.

After ending his college football career, a hundred-pound weight loss led Dr. Goodyear to integrative medicine. He is the founder, co-owner, and lead physician at Seasons in Farragut, Tennessee.

Dr. Goodyear lives with his wife of twenty-three years and their three daughters and one son in Farragut, Tennessee.

Sounds great, but does it work?

The premise (promise) of this book is that you can return testosterone to healthy levels by "natural" methods. It sounds all very good in theory, but in practice it often does not work, leading to drawers full of supplements and an array of unused exercise machines. Whilst much of the book is well researched and nicely referenced, most of the "natural" methods do not stand up to scientific scrutiny. I wonder if the frustration and time/money invested in "natural" methods is really worth it. My suggestion: Buy a dozen other books on testosterone and get a reading of the diverging opinions of highly experienced doctors. Nobody has yet a "unifying theory" about testosterone, but injections work well for many.

This book is not only about low testosterone, its causes, and how to correct it, but dives much deeper into the human body and looks at a host of physiological influences on our health. He even explains in detail the influences our genes, our environment, and our lifestyle has on our health. Dr Goodyear even looks at the disaster our medical society has become - a money driven debacle of insurance greed.

As a physician, I found it an easy and entertaining read. Non-medical people will have no problem following the book and Dr Goodyear presents the material in a thorough, light and humorous way. A great overall book to learn about testosterone, and how to keep yourself healthy for a lifetime. A must read.

This Book Needs To Explain More Sensors

This book is very small therefore it doesn't have a lot of information. The title of the book sounds good but it doesn't cover a lot of different sensors. I don't recommend this book.

One good thing though about the book is the mathematics explanation, the derivations are not basic but at the same time it is not challenging (no more no less).

If this is her first...

It shouldn't be her last. Ms. Cribbs writes with fresh voice filled with romance and steam. No gratuitous sex just for the sake of sex. Her characters come together for lust imbued with love.

Can't wait for Charles and Jessica's story, as well as the man to tame Marcella.

Good story, horrible editing

While the story has potential, the constant typo's, grammatical errors and lack of editing took away from the experience. To the author, keep up the good work but I implore you to have a proofreader and editor the next go round. To the readers, if you can get over the issues I've mentioned, give it a read. I won't be rereading or earnestly recommend this title until there is an updated version and will be cautious of purchasing future titles due to this. I do recommend the author as I see the ability to write a great story in this first reading experience of her work.

From Friends to Lovers

PLOT: Angela and Isaac exchanged emails for years. Though the two have long been interested in each other, Isaac was encouraged to keep his distance. But Isaac decides he’s waited long enough. When he pursues her, Angela thinks all he wants is sex and she won’t commit to more.

PROS: The sex scenes are hot and Isaac was sweet and oh so sexy.

CONS: There are some editorial errors, but it didn’t ruin my enjoyment of the story.

4.5 -5 STARS: From Friends to Lovers is a very enjoyable read.

Vandana B. Patravale, PhD, is a professor of pharmaceutics at Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Technology of the Institute of Chemical Technology in India. She has written over 90 refereed publications and seven book chapters and has been granted three patents with another 24 patents in the pipeline and 3 trademark registries to her credit. Dr. Patravale has worked on various industrial, national and international projects throughout her career and has known expertise in the area of pharmaceutics. Her areas of expertise include conventional and modified release dosage forms, medical device development viz. coronary stents, intrauterine devices, nanodiagnostics, novel nanocarriers with major emphasis on malaria, cancer and neurodegenerative disorders, and formulation strategies to enhance bioavailability and/or targeting.

John I. Disouza, PhD, is a professor in pharmaceutics and principal at Tatyasaheb Kore College of Pharmacy in Warananagar, India. He has over 15 years of teaching and research experience. He also has an executive MBA (Higher education) degree. Dr. Disouza has written two books and published over 50 research papers in peer reviewed journals. He has worked in diverse research areas including herbal formulations, micro/nanoparticulate, self-emulsifying, liposomal, fast and modified release drug delivery systems. His areas of interest include probiotics, novel diagnostic tools and therapies in cancer, and structural modifications of natural polymers for their pharmaceutical potential. He is an active consultant to pharmaceutical industry.

Mrs. Maharukh Rustomjee is the founder, director, and chief operating officer of Rubicon Research Pvt. Limited and serves on the Board of Directors for the company. She has 30 years of experience in the dosage form development and drug delivery platform technologies in all phases of product development from product design through commercial manufacturing. She has spearheaded Rubicon’s drug delivery technology effort, built a strong Intellectual Property knowledge base, developed complex generics, worked on FTF opportunities for leading generics, and worked on LCM opportunities with Innovator Pharma companies.
